In the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen, the 26th Summer Universiade is now in full swing. China currently ranks fourth in the medal tally, with two gold medals and one bronze, while the Republic of Korea is on top with two gold, two silver and two bronze medal.

Meanwhile, European Championships bronze medalist Simone Ruffini of Italy bagged the first gold medal on Saturday, winning the men's ten kilometers swimming event. The victory is also the Italian's first-ever Universiade title. Also in men's table tennis doubles, China beat Australia 3-0, while also winning their match against Canada earlier in the day.
