A two and a half year old girl who survived the train collision has undergone three hours of surgery.

Doctors say the surgery was sucessful and her condition is stable. The girl was rescued from the crash site late afternoon on Sunday. Her left leg was seriously injured, and she also suffered internal injuries.

The girl was initially sent to a military hospital in Wenzhou, but was later transported to a children's hospital in the region. Doctors say her damaged left leg will take some time to recover. The girl's parents are still missing.
