Traveling around the world is a dream for many, but one young couple from China has made this dream come true. They drove along the ancient Silk Road, from China to the U.K.

When this car with a Chinese license plate arrived in Britain recently, local residents were immediately attracted by this couple from China and their story.

Kent, local resident, said, "We saw the routes on the side of the car, and it's a Chinese car, we want to know about their story."

Luo Chang and Ding Jie, a young couple from China's Guizhou Province, spent two months driving from their home in Shanghai all the way to London. The journey covered some 20-thousand kilometers, and they crossed 14 countries and regions.

Ding Jie said, "People were excited to see two travelers driving a foreign license car, appearing on their streets. We were stopped many times to take pictures with them. Sometimes, when we couldn't understand each other's language, they would just pinch his face like this."

Back in Shanghai, Luo Chang and Ding jie used to host foreign backpackers in their home. During their driving trip, they also spent many nights in local people's homes.

Ding Jie said, "This was in the mountainous region of Turkey. We were received by a Kurdish family with great hospitality. There was this kind old lady who kissed us so many times, she even kissed our computer."

Luo Chang said, "This is an amazing experience. We were driving on a highway or a winding country road, to head to someone's home. Someone you've never met but was already preparing dinner for you. We feel like we have friends all over the world."

During the trip, Luo and Ding took nearly 10,000 photos and kept a journal to record the striking scenery, the friendly people and the various customs they learned on the way. The couple also shared the photos with friends at home through blogs.

As Luo says, the world is full of wonders and fun, so why stay at home all the time?
