It is often said that love from mother's is the greatest of all. We'll take you to meet a mother from Jiangsu Province, whose love and care has helped her paralyzed son stand up and walk again.

The mother and son stroll through the community every day. At quick glance, it looks like an ordinary activity. But few people know what they've been through to enjoy what most people consider a simple daily routine.

The story dates back to a traffic accident seven years ago. The son, Sun Jifei slipped into a deep coma after a serious operation.

Xia Jingsheng, mother said "We were informed several times that he was nearing the end. We just watched him from outside the ICU. It lasted about a year, without any hope."

The parents sold their house to raise money for further medicare. But after two major operations, their son was still unable to move.

Sun Yuanli, father said "Even the doctors had given up hope. So our family had a serious discussion and everybody was saying we should stop the treatment. But his mother just wouldn't allow it, saying she would hang on as long as our son had breath."

So the mother borrowed another 300-thousand yuan and arranged another operation. And 25 days after the operation, something amazing happened. While cleaning the room, mother Xia Jingsheng heard a tiny whisper of "mom".

"I couldn't believe it, and asked "Xiaofei, is it you?" And he replied: "Yes, mom, it's me". Tears just welled up. I couldn't help it. It's was 14 months of waiting and it was worth it."

Sun Jifei finally woke up. But another problem arose. He suffered from severe muscular atrophy from long hours of lying in bed. So the mother committed herself to another task: to help her son walk again.

Sun Jifei, son said "I hated her at that time. The recovery exercises really hurt."

Two years after he took his first steps, Sun Jifei can finally walk normally.

And the mother has set her sights on a new task. She hopes her son can find a job and realize his value.
