China's Ding Junhui reminded snooker fans around the world what he's capable of. He took down Scotsman Graeme Dott in the quarterfinal of the Master tournament at Wembley Arena in London.

Ding occupies fourth place in the world rankings, six places above the Scot, and he started in fine fashion.

The Chinese built three century breaks in the first four frames, and launched himself into a 3-1 lead at the interval. The 23-year-old knocked in a 124, a 108, and a second 124, but the Scot responded by pinching the first frame after the break.

He was set to draw level at 3-all in the best-of-eleven clash. But Dott stalled on a break of 38, and his opponent nipped in with a 74 to edge ahead 4-2. That was a massive turning point in th match.

Dott's top break was his 38 in frame six, while Ding added a 52. The Chinese finally took the match at 6-2 and booked a semi-final showdown with either Jamie Cope or Mark King.

Ding Junhui, World No.4, said, "I made three century breaks before the interval and put the pressure on him. He did not had many opportunities to play, and that added to the pressure."
