The doctors decided to carried a emergency surgery.

A team member of CISAR said, "It's a simple surgery, but we must keep a high alert on the sterilization due to the current sanitation situation."

The patient also suffered an abnormal heart rate and blood pressure before the surgery. His family worried a lot while waiting outside the surgical room.

Half an hour later, the surgery was finished.

The chief surgeon of CISAR said, "The surgery succeeded. This is the first surgery we have carried out here. We'll operate more in the future."

The previous 55-member search and rescue team, sent on August 26th, has so far treated nearly 10 thousand people.

The Chinese team has seen as many as 700 patients a day.

The second medical team comprised of 59 doctors and paramedics will partially relieve the first unit.
