A group of hungry London artists is staging the world's first edible art exhibition. "Cake Britain" proves that you can have your art and eat it too.

 

Is this what Brad and Angelina's wedding cake is going to look like?

At least this is how artist Stuart Semple envisions it: a colorfully playful three-tier cake, decorated with meringues and lollipops.

Swapping canvas for cake, artists creatively engage with food and make mouth watering exhibits.

At the end of the exhibition, art lovers can whip out their knives and forks and dig into the artworks on display.

But Semple's not entirely sure he wants anyone to devour his piece of art.

Stuart Semple, Artist, said, "I'm feeling really precious about the cake, I'm quite nervous about it being eaten or destroyed but it's sort of inevitable. So if someone came in and grabbed all my meringues and ate it, well as long as it tasted nice and they enjoyed it I suppose I'd be alright about it".
