China has approved another 61 models made by 12 automakers, to receive fuel efficiency subsidies of 3,000 yuan per vehicle. It's the second batch of vehicles approved for the government's subsidy. Under the regulation, consumers will be directly rewarded for purchasing each energy saving vehicle.

According to the National Development and Reform Commission, domestic automakers and joint ventures such as Beijing-Benz, Beijing Hyundai, and Beiqi Foton are all among the approved dealers. The average fuel consumption for approved models is about 20 percent below the current standard.
