It's been more than one month since the devastating earthquake hit the Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province in west China. Over the past weeks a full-scale survey of relics took place, and the results came out Thursday.

Among the damaged relic sites is the Scripture Pile, heaps of boulders inscribed with Buddhist writing. It is the world's biggest library of Buddhist stone tablet writings. Other worst-hit heritage sites include local temples, monasteries, and multiple dagobas, which are the most commonly found monuments of Tibetan Buddhism. Fissures and cracks can be found in the structures. According to the report, nearly all local relic sites suffered some degree of damage. The report also advises greater efforts be made to salvage the ruins.
