Thailand's red-shirted protesters are vowing to extend their demonstration in the nation's capital indefinitely.

The pledge comes after they pulled off the attention grabbing tactic of pouring blood at the Prime Minister's home.

Protesters say there is no end in sight for their anti-government demonstration.

Leaders add that they will scale back the size of their protests in order to conserve energy and resources.

The decision to remain encamped in Bangkok is aimed at keeping up the pressure on Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva to call new elections.

Roongsak Luelueng, Thai Protester, said, "I will not give up. I have been fighting to reach this point, so I will continue fighting until we win, and we get democracy."

On Wednesday, red-shirted demonstrators hurled plastic bags filled with their own blood into Abhisit's residential compound. The move followed similar actions the previous day at his office, and the headquarters of his Democratic Party.
