Toyota's RAV4 has been popular in China. But the large-scale recall has some potential buyers thinking twice. But some RAV4 owners say the way Toyota dealers have handled the matter has reduced their anxiety.

The safety of Toyota's RAV4 is a hot topic on auto websites in China. Some say the recall isn't a big issue and the car will be ok after repair. And others say they feel lucky because they didn't buy the auto.

A customer said, "If you make cars, you should do it professionally and you should know what problems will occur in your cars. The customers buy the car just because they believe the producers have made their designs perfect. The recall will definitely affect their image."

But others disagree. Mr. Li, a RAV4 owner, says the Toyota dealer has sent the notice, and the explanation of the maintenance staff has reassured him.

RAV-4 owner Mr. Li said, "I hope the anxiety of the customers will be removed totally after the recall and make the customers feel at ease."

A customer said, "It doesn't matter that you made mistakes, but you have to correct them and then you can earn trust."

At the Toyota dealers in Beijing, fewer people are interested in the RAV4, but some customers are still buying other models.
