For more information about the devastating earthquake in Haiti, we now cross over to our correspondent Yang Fuqing at our CCTV bureau for the Americas in Washington.
Hello, Fuqing.
Q1: Haiti is one of the least developed countries in the Americas. To what extent has the country been devastated by such a major earthquake?
Q2: As you have said, international aid is critical for Haiti at this time. And the US government has pledged help. What can you tell us about the US reaction to the earthquake as well as international aid in general?
Q3: We know that there are no official diplomatic relations between China and Haiti as of now. But, the two countries have had increasing trade ties in recent years. What can you tell us about the Chinese community in the country? Do you have any information on their well being after the earthquake?
