The travel peak for the upcoming Spring Festival will start January 30th and end on March 10th.

Total passenger volumes on the road will hit 2.3 billion person-times for the period, up 7.5 percent from last year. 31.8 million person-times are expected to take ships or boats, an increase of 3 percent.

Meanwhile, buses can expect to carry as many as 8 billion person-times, up 10 percent. The Ministry of Transport is asking transport companies to take full responsibility for the safety of their passengers.
