We start with major news from the world athletics championships in Berlin, where Yelena Isinbayeva's five year domination of the women's pole vault has ended abruptly.
The Russian failed to clear a single height leaving Anna Rogowska of Poland to take the gold medal with her clearance of 4.75 metres.
Isinbayeva had come to Berlin in search of a third successive world title. This after winning the last two Olympic golds and totally dominating the event for a decade.
The 28 year old Rogowska jumped first. The Pole had won a bronze medal in the Athens Olympics back in 2004, and had missed one attempt at 4.65 metres before succeed in another.
Isinbayeva started her match. The world-record holder was gold medallist at the last two world championships.
She chose to enter the competition late with her first attempt coming at 4.75 metres. She mis-timed that jump to fall short of the bar. The pole vault queen said later she didn't start too high.
Yelena Isinbayeva, Former World Champion, said, "I don't think it was too high because 4.75, 4.80 is my training height and I always do only 75 and 80 on the training, during the training so, I don't know it is just time for losing but I think it is just for the future victories, I believe this."
