Xu Wei is one of the best known rock musicians in China. In recent years his style has been more influenced by pop.

The early stage was between 1994 and 1997. It started from the single "Two Days" and ended at his first album "In Other Places". The music at that time was filled with juvenile anxiety. His devotion to music impressed the listeners. Despite the success， spiritually he was rather depressed.
The second period was between 1998 to 2002. During that period, Xu Wei's second album "That Year" was released. This album reflected his inner contradiction. "That Year" is a transforming recording.In his single "One Day", which was released in the summer of 2001, the listener can sense the deep changes in his music style and life style. Xu's third album "Time.Wandering" is also a representative work of his second period. It indicates where he is from and where he is heading.
The third phase started in 2003, with Xu's fourth album "Every Moment is Brand New". It marks a milestone in his music life, in which his perception to life is revealed. Staying true to the music is his rule and what his fans appreciate him for.
Since 2003, he has held a concert each year. The concert is a place for Xu Wei and his fans to communicate with each other. This contact has slowly opened Xu's heart. As a result, today we see his honesty in his latest album "Love Like a Teen".
