This is Ma Huan. She works from 2 in the afternoon to 1130 at night, answering the questions of sports fans. She says her enthusiasm is just as great as those working inside the venues.
Ma Huan, a Beijing Olympic volunteer says "People smile after we help them. I'm very happy, and have lots of energy to keep working."
In helping others they make themselves happy. Volunteers have become indispensable to any successful Olympics. These students underwent a rigorous selection process to earn the posts where they work with passion and dedication. Their efforts are noticed.
An audience says "The volunteer gave us very clear directions. I didn't need to ask for further directions. I think he gave us excellent service. "
Han Qiubo, manager of the public zones of Beijing Olympic park says "Over more than ten days, these university students have been outstanding, performing well beyond our expectations. I'm very pleased with the work they're doing."
Just as Jacques Rogge, president of the International Olympic Committee observed at the opening of the Beijing Olympics, "thanks go to the thousands of gracious volunteers, without whom none of this would be possible."
