If successful, the 23-year old will return home with no less than eight Olympic gold medals in his suitcase - the first athlete ever to do so.
Michael Phelps, US swimmer,said, "Well you guys are the ones who are all talking about it - I am not saying anything. I am just going through doing what I have to do, preparing myself the best way I can to compete as fast as I can. That's my goal and that's what I am going to stick with."
