Mangshan Forest Park
40 km north of downtown Beijing, Mangshan National Forest Park is the home to hundreds of different species of trees. Besides appreciating fall foliage, picking sour dates and tasting hot herb add to the pleasure of the visit.
How to get there: Take Bus No. 912 from Andingmen or 845 from Xizhimen to the Ming Tombs (Shisanling).
