The local government of Qingdao and the Palace Museum hosted the 2017 Qingdao International Cultural and Creative Product Week in Qingdao, Shandong from Dec. 15 to 18.

Innumerous cultural and creative products were showcased during the event, including distinctive exhibits from the Palace Museum, the Comrade Mao Zedong Memorial Museum in Shaoshan, Hunan, and Shenzhen Museum.

Exhibits of local elements were also on show, including textiles showing local sceneries. Combining traditional techniques and modern digital technology these products show textures similar to exquisite traditional embroideries.

There were also refrigerator magnets disguised as local road signs and ceramics air brushed with local features such as architecture and seaside views.

Visitors were invited to take part in the creation of cultural and creative products on site. Some experienced movable-type printing.
