Qingdao becomes int'l shipping center

Qingdao, a port city of east China's Shandong province, was included on the list of international shipping center, according to a report on shipping development index recently released in Shanghai by Xinhua News Agency and Baltic Exchange. This year, Qingdao municipal government presses ahead with the building of international shipping service center and released Qingdao shipping index of 'Belt and Road.' Thorough study of port and shipping has been made and the preparatory work for the study of supply-side reform of port and shipping has been completed. A think tank for Qingdao shipping is being planned. The first phase project feasibility studies for the support system of Qingdao International Shipping Service Center have been ratified. And, the construction of big data base for shipping has been launched. |
