2016 China International Ocean Summit Forum will open on Sept. 26, 2016, in Qingdao, a coastal city of east China's Shandong province.
This year's forum, which will attract more than 300 officials and representatives from countries and international organizations, will focus on the role of marine science and technology in building a marine power and 'Belt and Road'.
The 2016 global ocean scientific and technological innovation index will be released at the forum.
Moreover, the forum will feature international ocean scientific and technological exhibition, the global oceanic research institution leaders' forum, and 5 sub-forums such as sea water desalinization and comprehensive utilization.
