Recently, the General Office of Qingdao Government had published The Developing Plan of New Energy Automobile Industry in Qingdao (2014-2020). According to the plan, Qingdao will primarily complete the construction of the large-scale new energy automobile industrial base, two to three major finished automobile enterprises, and two to three relatively large key components enterprises by 2017. And there will be more until 2020.
In order to push forward the key projects, Qingdao will focus on the construction of finished automobiles, key components and fundamental equipment. The plan also claims to develop four finished automobile production bases and three new energy special vehicle and ancillary facility production bases. The four finished automobile production bases are Huangdao New Energy Automobile Production Base, Jimo High-end New Energy Automobile Production Base, Chengyang New Energy Commercial Vehicle Research and Production Base, and Laixi New Energy Passenger Vehicle Production Base.
The three new energy special vehicle and ancillary facility production bases are High-tech District New Energy Special Vehicle and Charging Device Production Base, Jiaozhou New Energy Special Vehicle and LNG Device Production Base, and Pingdu New Energy Special Vehicle and Battery Material Production Base.
