The Qingdao Bus Group and Qingdao Mobile Corporation will jointly launch the 4G network on several buses in the city starting from March this year, according to the Qingdao Municipal Commission of Economy and Information on January 11.
Qingdao citizens will be able to experience the high-speed 4G network through their mobile phones, PADs and laptops when taking the bus. 4G mobile phone users can directly enjoy its services. It is reported that the 4G network already covers most of Qingdao City.
4G is the fourth generation of wireless and mobile communication with the highest data speed transfer rate of up to 100 megabits per second, 20 times of the speed of 3G technology.
