The foundation laying ceremony of the Sino-German ecological park will be held at the end of this year, officials announced at the recent preparatory work meeting for the ceremony.
The 10-square-kilometer ecological park will be situated in the Qingdao Economic and Technological Development Zone.
The ecological park project will be jointly supported by the Chinese and German government. It will serve as both a bridge for strengthening cooperation between China and Germany and as a base for China to develop green agriculture and demonstrate green construction methods.
An array of experienced companies from both countries will take joint responsibility for the project's planning, development of land use, the introduction of projects and operations management.
