The Macao Government Tourist Office (MGTO) launched a tourism promotion campaign here on Thursday to attract more Malaysians to experience its multi-cultures.
The "Experience Macao Bus Tour" campaign is also part of Macao's celebration activities for the upcoming 10th Anniversary of the establishment of the Macao Special Administration Region (SAR) on December 20, 2009.
"As a result of a centuries-old crossroad between the East and West, Macao today is an intoxicating blend of both. Macao lets you experience its multicultural environment and world heritage sites that make Macao so unique," said Tunku Iskandar, the representative of the MGTO in Malaysia, at the launching ceremony on Thursday morning.
During the campaign, a colorful double-decker bus will be embarking a tour around major cities and towns throughout the Peninsula Malaysia for a month as a mobile gallery to make people see, taste, feel, hear and touch the difference of Macao, said an MGTO statement.
Meanwhile, the MGTO will provide various attractive offers on sale and giveaways during the campaign period to inspire more visitors to Macao.
To celebrate the establishment of the SAR, the MGTO has launched various promotional activities with focus on the "Historic Center of Macao" since the beginning of the year.
