Honghe Wetland Scenic Area
The Honghe Wetland Scenic Area is located in Weishan Lake in east Shandong Province's Tengzhou city. With a total area of 90 square kilometres, it is one of the largest, most original and beautiful wetlands in northern China.
Weishan Lake has a lakeshore line of 55 kilometres and is rich in biological resources. There are more than 100,000 mu (a Chinese unit of area equal to 1/15 of a hectare or 1/6 of an acre) of wild red lotus and dozens of mu of bulrushes in the area.
With clean water and blue skies, as well as a delightful climate, the Honghe Wetland Scenic Area has become a modern resort combining tourism, vacationing and recreation. It has been confirmed as a national AAAA scenic spot and a national wetland park.
