Some 232,000 people entered the Expo site by 7pm yesterday, bringing the total number of Expo visitors to more than 49 million so far.

Among yesterday's visitors, 80,000 came in tour groups. A total of 36,316 tickets were sold at the gates, 10,432 of them for evening visit.

As of 6pm, 45,000 visitors had passed through Houtan entrance, compared with 33,000 at Shangnan Road entrance, 43,000 at Changqing Road entrance and 29,000 at Gaoke Road entrance.

As many as 67 shows were performed at Expo venues from morning to 5pm yesterday, attracting 27,000 spectators. Some 5,693 volunteers worked on the site.

Five on-site health clinics treated 214 visitors yesterday by 4pm.

The Expo Organizer expects some 90,000 group visitors today and advices people to visit the Expo now as the weather is not that hot and also to avoid big crowds coming between mid September to the end of October.
