A bilingual guide to Australian fine arts and prominent galleries has been published for Chinese connoisseurs and art collectors. A launch ceremony was held on Saturday at the Australia Pavilion.

Twenty-three member galleries of the Australian Commercial Art Galleries Association are profiled in the guide which contains an overview of the history of Australian fine arts.

The guide, a joint effort by the Australian Trade Commission and some Chinese art organizations, will be used as a tool for Chinese collectors to navigate in the contemporary art market of Australia. A limited number of copies will be sold at China's Xinhua book store.
