United Arab Emirates (UAE) Vice President Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, on his personal Facebook page, expressed hope for more visitors to the website of the Gulf nation's pavilion at the Shanghai Expo, the state news agency WAM reported Sunday.

"I am pleased to see the great turnout at the UAE Pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai Expo during its first month," Sheikh Mohammed, also prime minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, was quoted as saying.

"If you are not able to go in person, you can visit online," he added.

According to WAM, the UAE pavilion occupies an area of 6,000 square meters in the heart of the Expo site and showcases prosperity, harmony, culture and innovativeness of the country to the world, attracting more than 15,000 visitors per day.

The pavilion represents the scale of the UAE's contribution that befits the significance of the event, in terms of both the country's commitment to the World Expo movement and the importance of taking the UAE story to the Chinese people and the world in a positive and groundbreaking way, the report said.
