Malawi Children's Performance

Venue: Entertainment Hall, Zone B of the Expo Park; Africa Square, Zone C of the Expo Park

Time: May 1 to June 1

Duration: two hours

Orphans from Malawi, known as the "warm heart of Africa," perform Chinese kung fu (martial arts), sing Chinese songs and also showcase some African singing and dancing. The orphans were adopted by the Amitofo Care Center, run by a monk from Taiwan.

Kung Fu Show

Venue: Entertainment Hall, Zone B of the Expo Park

Time: July 1 to August 31

Duration: 45 minutes, fours times a day

The Kung Fu Show aims to present the aesthetic and philosophical values of monks of the Shaolin Temple through an innovative stage performance that combines Shaolin kung fu and modern dancing. The mixture of martial arts, acrobatics, dancing and magic tricks is sure to please every crowd.

Tips:

1. Children with a height of 1.2 meters or less will be admitted free but should be accompanied by at least one adult. Special admission tickets are available for students with a valid ID and children above the specified height.

2. Liquid milk products for babies can be carried in appropriate quantities. Baby carriages are allowed into the Expo Park and barrier-free access is available for parents with carriages.

3. Baby carriages can be rented free of charge at all Park entries, or at No. 2, 3 and 4 parking lots of Puxi Park and No. 12, 13, 16, 17 and 19 parking lots of Pudong Park. Visitors need to pay a deposit of 200 yuan (about $29).

4. Most of the pavilions provide special access for parents with infants.

5. There are 20 infant care and breastfeeding rooms in the Expo Park.

6. Lost Children Center is located next to the infant care and breastfeeding rooms. The lost children can wait there until their parents pick them up.

7. Child-locator wristbands can be rented or purchased in the Park. These wristbands inform visitors when their children wander beyond a specified range.
