Chinese people celebrate the Expo

As the curtain rose on the Shanghai World Expo last night, people around China celebrated the great event together.
Local resident of Chongqing Municipality said, "The opening ceremony was marvellous and beautiful. I saw the strength and prosperity of our country."
"It's a showcase of our national power. We people are happy to see our country is strong and prosperous."
"I'm joyful, excited, and proud that we are the host of this event." A local resident from He Fei, Anhui Province said.
"We hosted the Beijing Olympic Games, and now the World Expo. These events are the pride of China."
Another local resident from Xi'an, Shanxi Province said, "Through this window, the Chinese culture and economy will be better known to the world."
"Through this event, we'll let people around the world know more about us, and we'll also learn more about the world. We can grow together."
Yang Yi, student of Tianjin University said, "Just now I heard the national anthem. I believe the thoughts and emotions of all Chinese people surged like a tide at that moment."
"I think the event not only shows the country to the world, but also pulls us all closer together." A college student from nanjing, Jiangsu Province said.
Local resident of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region said, "I wish the event great success!"
"It's exciting and amazing! When I have a vacation, I'll go to Shanghai."
"I'm very proud to be Chinese."
