1. One-day tour

Check out China Pavilion, the largest pavilion at the Expo. Be prepared for a long wait because lots of people are expected to visit the venue. Don't miss the view from the top floor, where there is a glass floor 60 meters from the ground. There is also a 100-meter-wide electronic screen showing "Along the River During Qingming Festival," a famous panoramic painting portraying ancient city life in China.

Other must-see venues are the Expo Theme Pavilion, which features "green walls," solar cells on the roof and what is being billed as the world's biggest "non-column space," and the Expo Culture Center, where two performances will be staged daily through the fair.

2. Three-day tour

On the first day, after checking out China Pavilion, the Expo Theme Pavilion and Expo Culture Center, head over to the pavilions of Japan and South Korea. Japan Pavilion makes efficient use of natural resources with solar batteries and a double-layer membrane that can filter sunshine. Visitors will experience some Chinese elements there, such as writing characters and traditional architectural styles. In South Korea Pavilion, four hologram guides show visitors where to go. Korean celebrities may also show up in the pavilion to welcome visitors.

On the second day, visit the European pavilions in Zone C. The centerpiece of the UK Pavilion is a six-story object formed from 60,000 slender transparent rods, which extend from the structure and quiver in the breeze. During the day, the 7.5-meter rods will draw in daylight to illuminate the interior. At night, light sources at the interior end of each rod make the whole structure to glow. Spain Pavilion has a steel structure and wicker cover. Covered by a special material, the wicker is waterproof and fireproof and will keep the pavilion at a comfortable temperature. Every night, the pavilion will offer Spanish delicacies and shows. The 6,000-square-meter Germany Pavilion is the country's largest Expo pavilion ever. Its highlight is a cone-shaped structure housing a revolving 3-meter wide metal sphere covered with 30,000 LED lights, which will be activated by the noise and movement of spectators.
