A comfortable and convivial space, Middle 8 serves good food with the usual Yunnan staples such as purple rice and various types of noodles. The wonton soup is worth a try and the grilled fish is nicely presented on a banana leaf. Colorful drapes and wooden bowls add to the ethnic feel. Conveniently located near Sanlitun, it is reasonably priced and has an outside bar area to enjoy a pre-dinner drink or two.
