A state-level intelligent textile production base will be established in Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, according to an agreement signed by the Yinchuan Municipal Government and the China National Textile and Apparel Council on March 11.
A modern textile industrial demonstration park has established in Ningxia being the largest cashmere distribution center and raw material base in the world. The annual cashmere trade volume in Ningxia has reached 12000 tons, accounting for 65 percent of the global figure.
Over the past years, Ningxia has fostered and introduced large-scale textile enterprises and extended the industrial chain. The annual production volume of the modern textile industry there is expected to reach 70 billion yuan by 2020.
