The winter tourism season has started in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, according to a related conference held in Yinchuan on October 25. Delegates from tourism administration departments, scenic spots and travel agencies attended the conference.
The winter tourism activities will last from November 1, 2016 to February 28, 2017, said Dang Jianping, the vice-director of Ningxia Tourism Development Committee during the conference.
The 14th Sand Lake Winter Ice and Snow Tourism Festival will kick off soon and tourists can enjoy various activities for free, according to the conference.
Over the past few years, winter tourism activities with the theme of “enjoying sunshine in Ningxia” have attracted many tourists and yielded remarkable fruits.
