The overseas investment made by enterprises from Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region has totaled $566 million, according to statistics released by Ningxia Commerce Department on May 9. The number of these enterprises has reached 95 until now.
In the past five years, apart from European and American countries, the Ningxia enterprises also made investments in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Russia and other countries along the “Belt and Road.” There was an eighteen-fold increase in the investment volume during the same period.
Except large-scale state-owned enterprises, more and more private enterprises are going global, said Wang Zhe, a public servant from Ningxia Finance Department. Wang also pointed out that risk management needs to be enhanced in the process and more emphasis should be laid upon taking insurance.
