The original epic opera ‘Silk Road Song’, which was supported by Ningxia Propaganda Department of Party Committee and Regional Department of Culture, and created by Ningxia Performing Arts Group Limited Corporation, started rehearsing two months ago and has finished its joint rehearsal now. Cai Guoying, the member of the Standing Committee of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, as well as the president of the Propaganda Department, came to the theatre of Ningxia Performing Arts Group Limited Corporation to know more about the rehearsal progress.
The opera is a story about love and hate, life and death while chasing dreams and returning home in Tang Dynasty, which shows the theme of ‘national unity and fusion’. A great number of excellent actors have participated in the opera. After 2-month rehearsal, it has already finished the joint rehearsal and comes to the later period of music and costume promotion. It is predicted to be released to the public in February next year.
Cai Guoying gave credit for the performance of the actors and hoped that the creators as well as the actors could further understand the historical background and the spirit so as to make the opera the competitive one for all the people.
