Now, Lanzhou Railway Administration has opened cross-province fast freight trains, connecting more than 4200 freight stations into a network.
Three pairs of fast trains have operated on the railway which covers Gansu and Ningxia Province. Lanzhou Railway Administration’s measure provides many kinds of integrated service for bulk cargo transportation and instant transportation for cargo under 5 tons.
While solving the transportation problems in Gansu and Ningxia Province, western fast freight transportation widens its transport network. It connects with freight stations of 18 Railway Administrations (or Companies), which achieved the function of stations in cargo distributing and exchange. It is known that the fast freight trains within the administration’s jurisdiction usually run beyond 24 hours for the whole journey. For those outside the jurisdiction, the railway department will make timetables to ensure punctual operations.
