Being an old industrial base in Ningxia and an important city along the Yellow River economic belt, Shizuishan City has undergone rapid development across various fields over the past 10 years. He quoted President Hu Jintao’s report as follows: we must give high priority to making ecological progress and incorporate it into all aspects and the whole process of advancing economic, political, cultural, and social progress, work hard to build a beautiful country, and achieve lasting and sustainable development of the Chinese nation. The Shizuishan City will strengthen efforts on rejuvenating an industrial powerful city, give priority to people’s livelihood, balance urban and rural development and attach great importance to ecology and human resources so as to build up a harmonious, prosperous and beautiful city, he said.
