Ningxia received 13.4 billion yuan ($2.1 billion) in tax revenues in the first half of this year, an increase of 32.3 percent from a year earlier, the local tax bureau said.
Ningxia ranks the fifth in terms of tax revenue growth.
The decisive factors of government income growth in Ningxia are the 363 enterprises that each paid the government a tax of more than 5 million yuan ($ 776 thousand), said Ma Jianmin, the director of Ningxia tax bureau.
The local government altogether collected an income of 4.65 billion yuan ($722 million) from them, an increase of 74.2 percent from a year earlier.
