Opened on August 22, 2008, Ningxia Transport Museum (寧夏交通博物館)?shows the history of Ningxia transportation and glorious achievement in modern transportation of Ningxia by displaying over 230 actual objects and pictorial information. It covers an area of 1,600 square meters and comprises of three parts -- preface hall, history hall and modern hall. The history hall displays transportation development history from the Western Zhou Dynasty (1046 to 771 BC) to 1949. The aisle of the history hall is very narrow, conveying the feeling of walking through a time tunnel. The modern hall uses advanced phantom imaging technology and three dimensional animations to show the huge development of modern transportation in Ningxia.
