In the following 30 years, Chixi village went through a difficult process of poverty alleviation. In the early stage, governments at all levels across the country extended a helping hand, providing free materials such as saplings, fruit seedlings, lambs and various crop seeds, hoping to help the village develop production and quickly get rid of poverty. However, due to the harsh natural conditions, the measures were not effective.
