Beijing's biggest lantern show charms visitors

Known as Beijing's biggest lantern show, The Megalights Wonderland at Beijing Wenyuhe Park has seen a boom in visitor numbers since its opening on February 2. Over a thousand festive lanterns from the "Chinese Lantern City" of Zigong, southwest China's Sichuan Province, have been installed at the park, resulting in a rich display of lights and colors. The lanterns' designs were a combination of tradition, trendy chic and technology. The lantern show at Beijing Wenyuhe Park is first of its kind. The show will continue till July 30 this year, during which the organizers will change the lantern structures accordingly to tally with different upcoming festivals, such as Women's Day, Children's Day and Dragon Boat Festival.
