Dafo Temple, or Great Buddha Temple, is located at the foot of Mount Emei, one of China's four Buddhist holy mountains in the eastern suburbs of Emei City, Sichuan Province. The temple, first built during the reign of Emperor Wanli (1573-1620) of the Ming Dynasty, is the starting point for the pilgrimage journey to Mount Emei. [Photo/China.org.cn]
