Day 6: Taining Geopark （泰寧地質公園）

Located in Taining County in northwestern Fujian province, Taining Geopark is home to geological formations called Danxia landforms. The area is characterized by granite mountains, dense forests, winding rivers, waterfalls and historic culture.

Transport: The most immediate way to go to Taining is by road. You also can take a train to the nearby cities of Shaowu or Sanming and then transfer to a bus.

Ticket prices: Jinhu Lake: 165 yuan Shangqingxi Stream: 95 yuan; Zhuangyuan Rock: 40 yuan; Taining Ancient Town: 25 yuan; Cat Mountain: 40 yuan; Jiulong Pool: 55 yuan; Zhaixia Grand Valley: 55 yuan; Taining Museum: 16 yuan.
