Fu Fu: Civilian Choice
A bowl of ramen here costs just 19 yuan. With food costs today soaring, it's unexpected to find a bowl of authentic Japanese ramen for this price, especially in Tao Jin North. One would expect the low price to reflect a low-quality of soup, but Fu Fu delivers great ramen without hitting patrons' wallets.[Photo:163.com]

A lot of restaurants from Hong Kong open up in Guangzhou, but rarely does it happen in reverse.

Local materials, Japanese taste
Fu Fu uses ingredients that are all grown locally. However, ramen purists need not worry, as Fu Fu's head chef makes maintaining an authentic Japanese flavor a top priority. The ramen broth is a combination stock, where pork and chicken feet are boiled down for more than four hours each day. Likewise, 130g of Japanese noodles are cooked for a minute and a half. Taking pride in its fresh ingredients, Fu Fu never puts monosodium glutamate (MSG) in its ramen, so patrons won't have that heavy, sluggish feeling that comes with gulping down a bowl of soup doused with MSG.
