Rongshui county, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region

Located in the hills in the northwestern Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Rongshui county is a heaven of happiness and peace for the local Miao, Yao, Dong and Zhuang ethnic groups. Every Spring Festival, it is bustling with noise and excitement. Villagers from miles around dress for the ceremonial costumes, play Lusheng (a reed-pipe wind instrument) and get together to celebrate this day.

Bei River

Stretching 147 km, Bei River flows perpetually through the mountains shrouded in swirling mist and cloud. Its beauty can rival that in Lijiang River. Visitors who go to Rongshui county are strongly suggested to tour the river. The crystal-clear water like a green belt winds around the mountains. Visitors can choose from the sporty boats and the traditional wooden boats for the Bei River tour.
