The China Urban Vitality Research Report 2021,released by Baidu Huiyan, a geographic intelligent data platform affiliated with Baidu Maps, listed the top 10 most attractive cities in China in 2021.
The report calculated the ratio of the new residential population of a city to the mean of the new residential population of all cities in China. It took it as the core index to evaluate the attractiveness of cities. In the report, the residential population refers to the people residing in a city for more than 2 months.
Among the top ten cities, nine are located in south China, and four are in Guangdong province. Beijing, Shanghai, and Chongqing, three of China's four provincial-level municipalities directly under the central government, all made the list.
