It is the first time that Bosnia and Herzegovina has participated in the World Cup after gaining independence. The team, with a number of stars like Zvjezdan Misimovic, Edin Dzeko and Vedad Ibisevic, was considered as a very good team at first. However, their performance was really bad. If losing the first game to Argentina was excusable, losing their second game to Nigeria was inexcusable. Although the judge was unfair, Mexico could win against Cameroon and get through the group stage in a similar situation. In a word, the star-studded team was disappointing.
