She is a model signed with the New Silk Road Company, the oldest and largest modeling business in China. Since 2008, she was praised for being "the No.1 Chinese car show model" and she worked for Audi in a series of auto shows. In 2010, Zhai's sex photos and videos were published on the internet by her ex-boyfriend, which catapulted her into the national limelight.
